Wow 2019 is here. That is super crazy. Okay so this week was good.
On Monday we had cambios and as you all know I am lucky enough to stay here in Fernando with Hermana Fife. So on Monday night we went to familia Lugo to celebrate the new year. They are
so sweet to invite us again to each. The food was super good. Hermana Fife and I got home and we got ready for bed but we couldn't fall asleep. Then before we knew it, it was midnight and a ton of fireworks were going off. So we stepped onto our balcony and
watched for a minute. It was super fun.
On Tuesday we had a normal day. It was super hot but we were able to have a good day. Every single one of our citas fell through. But we contacted a lot and we talked to everyone. We were able to find lots of new people.
On Wednesday is when we had cambios because there wasn't any colectivos on Tuesday due to the new year. We went to Lambare to stay with Hermana Revatta until her new companion could get their. It was super cute how excited she was when her companion got there.
She is still in her training and so this next companion will finish her training and they seem like they get along really well. By the time we got back to our area with our studies there wasn't a ton of time to work and Hermana Fife didn't feel good. We still
worked and found good people.
On Thursday when we left to work it was super hot and I think Hermana Fife got heat exhaustion because she did not feel good and she always fainted. We were able to come home through during the main heat and do planning for the
week. So she was able to cool off and get a cold rag on her forehead. We found some old registros and realized that a family had known these investigators. So we wanted to talk to the family. But we didn't know where they lived and I had only been to their
house once over a year ago. We started walking and I said a prayer to be able to find where to go. So we started walking and all of a sudden I felt like we needed to stop and I looked around and there was a house I felt like we needed to clap on. Well it didn't
look like the house of the family we were looking for. But we did it and the family came out. They explained that they had redone their whole house. It was super cool to have the spirit work and see it guide us.
On Friday we had consejo de lideres. It was
funny though because at like 3 in the morning Hermana Fife asked me if she could make popcorn in the morning. I asked her if it was for breakfast and she was like no just for fun. And I asked if we could do our exercises in the house instead of the church
so we weren't late to consejo. She said yeah so I told her yeah you can make popcorn. The funniest thing is we were both sleeping jaja so it was super random. We woke up and were like I had a weird dream we talked about popcorn and she said she did too. It
was super funny. But anyways we had consejo.
It is my last consejo de lideres. We got to the office and Presidente was like Hermana's can you come with me. We got in his car and we left the mission home and went to his house. We had consejo in his house. It
was so cool but super different. It was good though. I translated again and Hermana Fife and I were asked to teach and we felt kinda bad because we were talking like the whole time jaja. But it was really good. However it was a little sad because it was the
last time I was going to see some of these missionaries. But during consejo we got a call from one of our Hermana's and she wasn't doing okay. She had a lot of problems but one of them was she didn't have shoes to proselyte because hers had broke. So we received
permission to go to the store and I bought her shoes then we went to their area to help them out. She was really sad and wanted to go home. She felt like it would be better if she was home compared to on the mission So that was sad to hear. But we were able
to talk it out and help her so that was good.
Then when we got back to our area we had little to no time to work. We changed and hadn't visited Deolinda in a long time so decided we needed to visit her. But when we got there, she wasn't home. It was raining
and we started stayed under a little cover and decided what we were going to do. We waited and waited and we didn't know why. But then all of a sudden Rebecca, the daughter of Deolinda, who we are also teaching, came up and we were able to share with her. So
we started talking and she shared with us all her problems she has with comparing herself to others and that she likes a boy but he has a girlfriend. It was very real talk. But she is super sweet.
But that brings us to Saturday. Saturday we had kinda a slow
day. We were able to find nuevos because once again all of our citas fell through. It was raining and no one wanted to receive us. We were able to eat lunch with Lucia, she is super cute. She lives alone so she wanted to talk about all this stuff right as
we were suppose to leave. But we were able to teach Facundo. He is such a cute little kid. He is literally adorable! And we were able to teach him while we wated for a baptism. He is so cute and he told us he wants to be baptized on his birthday. We then had
the baptism of Walter and it was a pretty service. Nestor baptized him! It was so cool to see. Nestor is really good at baptizing. Sunday we had only 2 hours in church. What loco! It was kinda weird but I loved it because we were so much more focused. And
I love the new manual of Ven, sigueme (come follow me) Its honestly inspired of God so that we can more fully come to understand the life of His son.
Yesterday we got to leave with Marian. She is preparing for her mission and she is super great. She is super
shy though jaja so its kinda funny when she gets around Hermana Fife and I who are not shy at all. We had a good day and we were able to find good people. We also had another lesson with Jorge, the guy in a wheelchair. He is so stubborn and thinks he knows
everything. I feel like he never truly listens. But he has so much potential because he is searching for what we have. Happiness. And if he was willing to act he would find it. We told him that yesterday and he told us he knows he needs to act but he will
do it when he wants to. He is stubborn but so are we jaja. We also found a girl who is a member but hasn't been to church in a long time. So we visited her and she told us that she has still been reading the Book of Mormon but she just doesn't have the support
to come to church. She was very grateful we visited her and we gave her a CTR ring and she was so happy. I think she is gonna come back this Sunday.
This week I feel like with cambios and all the craziness we didn't have a lot of time to work. It is a bit sad trying to do everything you can and not have time but that's okay. God knows where the chosen vessels are and if we are doing our part God will
bless us. He just wants to see how obedient we are. So the key is, Be Obedient! Even when you don't understand why you have to do something o why something isn't working out. Do what God asks and wait patiently for the blessings. His plan is a perfect one.
I love you all and I am so grateful for each and everyone of you. I hope this week is amazing!!!
Also sorry I forgot my camera and so I cant send fotos this week but next week I will send double the fotos. I love you all
