1/14/2019 - Just doing January

Wow what a week of confusing weather. It rained and rained and then was super hot and sunny and then rained for 5 minutes and then we sunny. Gotta love Paraguay.

On Monday we didn't really do anything special. It rained super hard and I left with out an umbrella or anything so I got drenched. But it was fun. Oh we did go to this fancy mall in another area and we went to eat lunch. We thought we will go crazy and spend a little bit of money. But it wasn't worth it because when we got out food it was not that good. They also like ran out of everything because we went at like 1 right after the lunch rush. SO we learned our lesson.

On Tuesday we had lunch with an old couple and they are so cute. They have 60 years together and the husband was making all these jokes and the wife was laughing so hard she was dying! It was so cute that with 60 years together he still makes her laugh that hard. It was literally so cute. Hermana Fife and I left the lunch and were like wow GOALS! We also found out that our recent convert that got baptized last month Margarita, the super awesome, kinda crazy, but super sweet with a strong testimony lady who was suppose to be in Germany is actually here still. We kinda got suspicious because she texted us and told us she couldn't do it anymore and went back to her old church and we were confused because she was so strong but we believe her son told her something. So we tried to pass for her house and we talked to her neighbors, ya know like that great detectives we are, and we found out it was Coronel Mustard in the ballroom with the candlestick! No just kidding jaja we found out she's not in Germany though. So we don't know what happened but we are trying to find her.

On Wednesday we had intercambios and I stayed here in Fernando with Hermana Siebert. She is super cute!! We are very similar too so it was fun to talk and get to know her. She is a great missionary and she had a really hard training. Her trainer was super mean to her and really awful but she is still here and wants to serve. Its awesome. Her and I had a great day. We were able to teach Facundo, the cutest kid in the planet. We were also Able to find Deolinda finally and had a great lesson where we taught about the Book of Mormon and finally gave her one. She was so excited to read it and she told us she received her answer that she knows this is true. She said yes to being baptized but doesn't want to rush things so doesn't want to accept a date. But it was a super awesome lesson! It was an awesome day.

We changed back on Thursday and then Thursday we had planning for the week and had a great punto 13. I love Hermana Fife so much. We also passed for Deolinda again. And we were able to answer her questions but she started sharing with us a story and we felt reall prompted to talk about the temple and the ordinances we do in the temple. So we did and she talked about how she wants to go into the temple to be able to seal her dad to her! It was again another spiritual lesson!

On Friday we had intercambios again with Libtertad and I was with Hermana Lefler. She is super great as well and we have done intercambios before. We had a great day. We taught Facundo about prophets and he is super excited for his baptism. We also taught Jorge and he told me I looked like chicken little right when I was testifying. (I was wearing my glasses that day) We also were able to find a new lady who accepted to be baptized. It was a great day. And it was cool because while we were talking I started sharing an experience from my last area and that I hadn't really shared before but I felt like I needed to do it. So I did and she started to cry a bit and told me that's exactly what she needed. It was cool to see the spirit working.

That night I got a call though and Presidente was calling me. I answered and I asked him how he was doing. He told me he was in the orange level of adjusting to missionary life (meaning he was super stressed) I asked him what I could do to help him and he said he just wanted to talk a little bit. So I started talking with him and it was super fun. Then by the end he was like well Hermana thank you I needed to talk to you to feel better. And I do. So that's all. And we ended the conversation. It was super funny. I love Presidente!!!

On Saturday Hermana Fife and I were back together and we had a great day. We left and not gonna lie I was feeling a little bad, sore, sick if you will and kinda just didn't want to put a lot of effort forth. It was super hot but we left and found a family. A mom her daughter, her niece and her mom. We started teaching and we were about to end when all of a sudden when I went to close, out came my mouth the Book of Mormon. So we starting teaching about that and they all accepted to come to church and be baptized. They want to read. It was super awesome!! We also had another lesson with Deolinda and we asked Hermana Ramirez to join us and it was such an amazing lesson!!! We talked about why we need to come to church and Hermana Ramirez gave her testimony and it was so strong and Deolinda, when we first met her said she wouldn't come to church, but in this lesson she told us she was going to come and that she knew the Book of Mormon was true. It was so awesome.

I know that it is super important to work with the members because in that way our friends who are new to the church have someone to help them feel comfortable. Help guide them. By the end of Saturday night we had 7 people who said they were going to come to church!!! Well our plan isn't always how everything goes right? So we were going to pass for this family we had just met and we were all going to go to church. On our way to meet them we saw Jorge on the road. He told us he was going to the doctor and so we went to pick up this other family and they left so they didn't come to church. But we had only taught them once so we figured that they might not go. But we were excited to have Deolinda. But when we got to church she wasn't there and the member that was helping us told us Deolinda said that it wasn't the right day to go.

But guess who showed up. Jorge!!! Jorge came to church and while we were singing he cried. It was so cute cause he is just a stubborn grumpy man and he cried. It was cute. And after when we visited Deolinda she was telling us she was really sick and was literally in the bathroom the whole day but she knew it was Satan because she had decided to go to church. She said next week si o si. Our whole lesson we answered her questions and it was very spiritual. She also gave us ice cream because it was super hot and we all ate ice cream together. It was so much fun!

Honestly I love my mission so so much!!! I cant express how true this work is. I know that this gospel is the truth because they send out youngens like me and expect me to answer peoples largest doubts about God. But here's
the catch. I know that the Spirit testifies of the truth. I feel it work through me every day I am obedient and worthy to have it. I know that this is true because I have been able to pray and ask and I challenge you all that whatever doubts you are having in whatever aspect of your life. Pray and ask God for help. Then grab the Book of Mormon and open it to whatever page and start reading. I promise you that in less than 10 minutes you will find the exact answer you need to be able to resolve your doubt. I love you all!!!

Also I saw a monkey. His name is Bebe and I plan to become his best friend and be like Dora and Boots so I got to visit him more. In case you were wondering. Love you!! The church is truee!!! Bebe is super soft!!!
