11/4/18-Happy Halloween!!!

Okay so this week was good.

It was Halloween and so just like last year we bought watermelones and then carved them. We had so much watermelons to eat after. It was super fun .We also got dressed up and yes I am a ninja!! And the elders came by in masks to give us candy. It was fun on Halloween I bought candy and taught little kids how to say trick or treat and then gave them candy. It was super fun.

Really not much to talk about but I do want to give you guys an update on Sani. Last week I told you guys a little bit about her. She is super cute and she doesn't want to lie. We have been passing for her a lot because she has a lot of potential to progress. They just moved and started a new business selling chipa and empanada's. So we went by to see if they needed help and she was super busy. She was running around trying to cook and clean. We offered our help but Los Paraguayos never accept help. They don't like to. But we passed another night and she was still super busy but invited us in and gave us an empanada. They were fresh and out of the oil and my companion cant eat anything of flour. So I was eating my extremely hot empanada and every time Sani turned around I was eating her empanada. Well she left the room and I took a huge bite of my companions empanada and it was very very hot still. So I was dying because my mouth was on fire. Then my companion started laughing at me and Sani was like are you laughing at me and I was like no Hermana I am just dying we aren't laughing at you. We explained and then she started laughing at me and I was just burning my tongue. So I ate both empanadas secretly and then she brought out cake.

It was her birthday and so she brought out cake and gave it to us. Again my companion couldn't eat it. So I started eating my cake and then she gave me hers. Oh man I was super full and the cake was super sugary but I don't myself No dejes por mañana lo que puedas comer hoy (don't leave for tomorrow what you can eat today) so I said you can do it and I ate her piece of giant cake.
But even though Sani was super busy she wanted to share with us. She is so great. So then we started sharing and she had such great questions. We went back Saturday to explain.

On Saturday we explained about baptism and the doctrine of Cristo and we were reading scriptures and she told us that none of the other churches do things in the way Cristo asked us to. She told us that she needs to prepare so she can be baptized. She was like it says it all in the Book of Mormon. I knew all that stuff before I even read it. It was super funny. Then she had questions about what happens to us after we die. My companion and I looked at each other and were so impressed because the way she was explaining it to us was right on with the Plan of Salvacion. So we left her a bit to read and we are gonna go back Monday. It was cute though because we pulled out the Folleto and she was like no I don't want to wait and read and then have you guys explain, I just want you guys to explain it to me now. She was so eager to hear jaja. She is gonna get baptized si o si. We just need to help her get married jaja.

We had interambios this week and they were good. I stayed in the area again. We were able to find good people and it was a lot of fun. I was with Hermana Jensen and it was great because I have been her Hermana leader for 6 months almost so we have gotten really close. We also had our entrevistas with Presidente Hansen. It was super great. I love Presidente and Hermana Hansen. They are so amazing and it was so great to talk to them. I helped translate when some missionaries were calling for Hermana Hansen jaja she is so cute and working so very hard on her Spanish.

This week we walked so much in out area. There are 2 barrios o neighborhoods in our area. That are super far about. One is Barrio Costa San Antonio and the other Barrio San Luis. So everyday this week we went to one of them to serve the members and to visit people. Its been a week full of walking and going to these super far Barrios. So that's fun. We also got to serve this week. We went to clean the church with the members but not one showed up except for Presidente Fleitas and his wife. So we cleaned for a good 2 and a half hours and it was super great. They were super grateful that we were there and honestly I am glad we could help. It has been so long since anyone has cleaned the church and it is very sad because it is a very pretty capilla but no one treats it good.

Oh also I had a pretty good rejection. We contacted a house. A lady opened her door and we started talking to her. We asked her about her dogs and different things to try and get to know her. But then she was just super mean and told us to leave because she was busy. I asked if there was another day we could come back to get to know her. She was like I have my religion and its prohibited to talk to you type of people. I asked her we cant even get to know you that is kinda sad. And she said very firmly I don't want to get to know you! Then she slammed her door. Its whatever jaja I think I'm a delight to get to know jaja no just kidding but it was a funny rejection.
Sunday we worked really hard. It was very hot and the big rivalry game of Cerro and Olimpia was playing. Its like the biggest match. Its like University of Utah and BYU. Its like a huge deal. So no one wanted to talk to us while the game was on. So we tried to find people but it didn't really work out. But it was a good day. We were able to find algunas new people and the best part is we got to go to church and partake of the sacrament. It was great.

This week was good but I just want to end with my testimonio. I know that this church is true. I know that God restored His power and authority to His beloved profeta and that Russell M Nelson is a profeta today. I am grateful for all the support I receive from all of you. I love you all so much and I hope your week was great and that this one is better.
