2/26/18 - Volleyball to much food and a busy week!

Hey everyone how is it going,

So this week I don't even know what to write. It was demasiado calor and we powered through jaja. No really though it was a great week. Tuesday we had a great lesson with Nelson. We also had a really great lesson with Gladys. They both are progressing super well. The problem is that classes are about to start up again and that means they are going to be studying and working and it is going to be super hard to find time to teach them. They both work in the morning and then study at night till 9 or 10 in the night. So it is going to be super hard to find time when they are free. But whatever happens it is all part of Gods plan for them.

Wednesday we taught English again.
It is super fun. The little kids are so cute trying to say  and learn the numbers. We played a game where they had to run around and find numbers and I said them in English. It was so much fun. They are so cute. Thursday we had planned for our week. It was great to be able to focus in the investigators and really think about their needs and what we as missionaries can do to help them progress and help them understand and feel Gods love. On Friday we had a full day. We walked a ton but we taught 8 lessons. We found this family Tucha. The son we taught one time in the house of a member during lunch. We finally found his house and he has 3 brothers and his parents. We taught them all and they seemed super interested. We will see how it goes.
Saturday we tried to pass for Gladys but she is one busy lady. She was just getting home from work and had to leave to go to study. But we had Conferencia de Distrito Paraguari. Branch conference= But we got to go to Yaguaron! It was super fun. We got to listen to Presidente Wilson talk about the Plan de Area for Sudamerica Sur. It was super great. We got home 15 minutes before we had to be en casa. We also went to Yaguaron Sunday.
We had plans to pass by for a few of our investigators with a baptismal date so they could come to church. We left early in the morning at 7 and walked to Barrio Santo Domingo. It is roughly 40 minutes away from our house if we walk fast enough. We got there and passed by every single house of our investigators. We clapped and nothing. We called them and nothing. We clapped again... and still nothing. We had to get to the capilla before the colectivo left without us. So we walked back sad that none of our investigators were with us. We made the walk back and ran into Soledad y Rocio. So we walked with them to the capilla and made it just in time to take the colectivo to Yaguaron. We listened to Presidente otra vez y sus consejeros. We also got to listen to Hermana Wilson and the other wives. It was super great. Afterwards we took photos and the cool thing is that the second counselor to Presidente Wilson, his daughter is in Peru in the same mission that Hermana Carhuancho lives in. And right now their daughter is teaching the brother of Hermana Carhauncho.!Small world.
When we got back to Paraguari we changed and set out for the day. It was super hot. But we left with Soledad y Rocio again. We found some good people. We taught Nelson again oh pobrasito. Because he works and studies we dont have a lot of time to teach him but he still wants to be baptized on the 10. So we have to teach him all the lessons. We taught him 4 lessons in one day. I felt really bad but he is a champ and super capo and he did great. He understood everything too. We will make sure he remembers though because we have to teach him at 8 30 and he is always super super tired.

This week passed by very quick. And this coming week is going to be crazy. We had our activity with our district today and we played volleyball!!!
I haven't played volleyball in forever and I was so stoked. It was so hot but it was a ton of fun to play again. We also have entrevistas con Presidente Wednesday. And then we have intercambios again Friday and Saturday. We arent gonna have a normal day to work its gonna be crazy but its gonna be a good week I can feel it. But other than that I don't really know what to tell you more about this week. To be honest I don't really remember much from what happened this week.

Oh I do remember one thing. Friday we literally ate so much. So we had lunch with Familia Espinola but they weren't ready yet so we did some service while they were cooking and by the end we were starving and they always give us just a huge bowl to serve ourselves. Normally I love it because then I can serve myself and don't have to eat a ton because if Paraguayos serve you this give you a mountain and a half of food. But this time it was a mistake because I was so hungry I ate way way too much. I was so full and wew left to work afterwards. So walking in the heat made it worse. So we started teaching and I started to feel better, but every house we visited gave us food. Then we visited Hermana Catolina. And she ALWAYS without fail gives us a ton of food. So we passed her house and she was outside and wanted us to share with her. So we agreed and started sharing a scripture. She got up in the middle of our lesson and left. We were confused. She came back with postres. With dulce de Guayava y pan y oranges and dulces de mani and just everything. The other thing about Catolina is she gets offended if we don't eat what she gives us. So we tried to tell her that we had just left lunch and were super full but she insisted and so we started to eat and both of us were gonna explode. When we left we were like balloons. We started to walk again and then we had a lesson with another Hermana, Patroña. Something Hermana Carhuancho didn't tell me about Patroña is that our appointments with her are to eat dinner. So we got there and I was ready to have just another lesson when Hermana Patroña asked if I would say the prayer and reminded me to bless the food. FOOD? I thought. So after the prayer, la Hermana left to go get the food and I looked at Hermana Carhuancho and asked FOOD? She told me that she usually just brings out something small to give us energy to work. I was relived but then she brought out these huge sausages. She felt bad because we didn't have bread. So we ate like these giant hotdogs with mayo and we ate like 6. Oh man I thought I was going to throw up. Then while teaching Nelson, Hermana Claudia asked if we wanted dinner.... so much food jaja. But it was so nice of all the members to serve us and they are really just super sweet and kind to us.

Well folks that is about it for this week here in Paraguay. Lots of walking and heat...and food jaja. But honestly this is still unbelievable for me. Everyday I get to wake up and live my dream. Serving my brothers and sisters here in Paraguay. At times I still feel like this is just a dream. I am so grateful for the oportunidad to share my testimony with others and in return have my testimony grow because of the people here. I hope all of you know how loved you are. Heavenly Father loves you and I do too. I am so grateful for all the love and support and prayers that I receive. Go out and spread your testimony con others and share the light you have with those surrounded in darkness. Till next week fam!
