10/15/18 - Over a Year! New Companion and....The Prophet is coming!!!!

Hey everyone so brand new cambio and I am here in Coronel Oviedo still, with la Hermana Galeano. She is Paraguayan and so its super cool because she is actually only a few hours from her house. She also can speak 3 languages so that's super awesome. We teach a lot of lessons in Gaurani now and jajaja lets be honest she teaches and I just look like I know what's going on. Its my training all over again.

This week was good. On Monday it was super fun because we went to this little town in Villarrica and it sells a lot of Ao´poi which is a type of stitching here. We went with two other Hermana's which one was going home with Hermana Gomez.

Then we finished packing and Tuesday sadly, Hermana Gomez left to Asuncion. It was super weird because I didn't feel like she was going home but just traveling. But my new companion was already there.

On Tuesday we left to start the new cambio super good. We were able to contact a lot and we found some new people. Its super great because Hermana Galeano is actually from my group, which means we got here in Paraguay together. When we first met each other we couldn't speak super well. She couldn't speak ingles and I couldn't speak Spanish so we tried to talk but couldn't. But now its like a second chance so its been fun getting to know each other.

Thursday the elders came to our house and told me they found my catholic lady. So back story its been my dream on the mission to find like this old super catholic grandma and baptize her. Because the old catholic grandmas are first so cute, but second they are usually super hard and mean to the missionaries.
So I've always wanted to be good friends with one and help her be baptized. So the elders came up and told me they found my viejita catolica. BUT she only speaks Guarani so they knew that Hermana Galeano was here for a reason.

So we went directly to her house and starting teaching her. She was so sweet. She has 86 years and she takes care of her niece who is blind and always upset. She told us she is so annoying but she is family so what are ya gonna do. She also explained to us that Cristo only gave His authority to teach and baptize to His apostles and when they all died, no one else had the authority so it died to. We were shocked. She is super capa!

On Friday we had our consejo de lideres. So we traveled to Asuncion! The trip was super bumpy. But consejo was really awesome. There were a lot of new leaders this cambio. It was super fun to get to see everyone again. And I also got to translate again for Hermana Hansen. Also I got a book of Mormon in Korean. The elders gave it to me as a joke for being the only Asian in the mission jaja.

Friday night we got home super late and we were super tired. But we had about 30 minutes to work so we left to try and find people but we couldn't. And it started to rain really hard. Saturday was a full day of work, however we had to wait for a guy to come to install air conditioning in the house. So we waited and waited and it took forever and the guy that was helping us was talking to us a lot of religion. He found out we were missionaries and started talking a ton and wanted to Bible bash but he actually had really good questions. But we gave him a Book of Mormon and we hope he reads it jaja.

Sunday was kinda cold and foggy. We had a change in the Presidency in our rama. All new people. But I am super excited because they all super great members and I am excited for the changes and new energy we are gonna have! Its gonna be a good start for Oviedo. We taught our viejita catolica again. She is super sweet and gave us cookies and candy jaja. She is super sweet and I am learning a ton of Guarani.

This week has been super fun. Its been an adjustment starting to this new cambio. But its been super fun. I am excited to be able to work with Hermana Galeano. I am excited to be able to serve here in Oviedo again! We are gonna find miracles this month guys!! Better watch out. Till next time fam!!!
