6/4/18 - Cambio's

Wow! so this week was, well a lot different than the past weeks. We were preparing for a baptism but our investigator couldn't because of her family. So that was a little sad because she really does have a huge desire to be baptized. But also because we had a huge baptism last Saturday we have really been working hard this week to find people. It has been a bit difficult because it has been really cold lately so there isn't anyone who is out and willing to talk to us. It has also been raining a lot so even more of a reason to stay inside and not talk to the missionaries jaja, but our efforts were not for nothing.
We found a girl named Jorgelina. We were having a meeting with our district and she walked into the church and asked us to teach her how to pray. So we went to visit her and she is super amazing. She never really grew up with a religion and she said she feels she is missing something in her life. Her boyfriend is Mormon so she wanted to learn more. So she came to the one place she thought she could find answers, the church. She is really special and I know she is going to be baptized!

But starting from the beginning of the week, on Monday we had a district activity and this time we went to Acahay. We played volleyball and it was a lot of fun. It was kinda funny to see the elders try and play volleyball. We played us Hermanas verses the elders and with humility I can say we crushed them jaja.!Super humble I know. But it was a lot of fun to play again. It has been a long time since I have played volleyball.
On Tuesday we got to do some service and paint the fence for our converts Mercedes and Alexis and Carlos. It was a lot fun actually. On Friday we had plans to visit an investigator with Mercedes. She was gonna help us and like I said it has been really cold here.
It has been like 5 degrees Celsius. Now I don't know what the is normally but I can tell you I am adjusted to the heat because it is freezing!!
But Mercedes heard us talking about how we wanted beanies to keep our ears warm. So she went out and bought us beanies. She is sooo sweet! The beanies, well they are warm but they make us look like trolls. But it was the thought that counts. Our investigator wasn't home and Mercedes, we could tell was having a hard day so she wanted to get some food with us and talk. We went out and shared with her and she told us about how she doesn't have any friends anymore since she has gotten married and had kids and she feels really alone. She was really grateful that she could spend time with us and have us as her friends. I felt so honored and I just wanted to hug her and cry. She is so cute.

Saturday we tried again to leave with her and the investigator wasn't home again! But Mercedes again gave us scarves that were her moms so that we could all match. She even gave me a black one because my coat is black and gave Hermana Fife a green one for her coat. She was so excited to give it us and it means a lot to her because her mom passed away 5 years ago and she hasn't given anyone anything from her mom. I just can't express how much I love her. She is so amazing and has the biggest heart.

Sunday was testimony meeting. We had Jorgelina in church. She truly is a miracle. She is so great and the testimonies were really great too. And Mercedes came back to church. It has been a really long time since she has come. And I did bear my testimony but my dust allergy really acted up and made me cry...or was it the Spirit jaja! It was really great and we got to leave and work afterwards and we found another miracle. So because it was fast Sunday we were fasting and part of our fast was that we would be able to find the people who were ready to listen to us and who wanted to act on their faith. That we would be sensible to the Spirit so that we could actually find the people who needed us.
So we were in the compaña and we were trying to find a reference from the Elders. But she wasn't home so we started walking home and we passed a lady outside her house. We started to talk with her and she told us we could sit down and share. So we started sharing and she said she has always been looking for the true church and to learn more about God, but she lives super fonde ite in la compaña and there has never been missionaries who passed her house. We taught her and she said she wanted to read and come to church. We invited her to baptism and she said yes right away and she wanted to learn more and do whatever she needs too. She is an answer to our prayers. I know that God hears us. I know that fasting works. Not just because of this experience but because of many others as well. I know with out a single doubt that if there is anything you need help with, or anything you are struggling with, that if you get on your knees and pray and fast God is there to help you.

But anyways back to the subject line...

CAMBIOS!!!!!!!!

Hermana Fife is staying here in Paraguarí and I am going to the compaña ita corenel oviedo with HERMANA ROBINSON AGAIN!!!
I am super stoked I am also an Hermana leader, which means I get to serve and help the other Hermana's in my zone. I am super excited to serve and humbled to be called to this position. I love the gospel. I know God answers prayers. And I know that He has a plan that is perfect.
