Wow okay so lets start. Monday was p-day and it was super fun. We didn't do much but we tried this new restaurant that everyone is raving about and it was super rico. I was stuffed at the end. Tuesday and Wednesday were good too. Dias normales para trabajar. But Thursday, that's where it gets crazy!
So we had to wake up at 3 in the morning and leave. We planned for lots of traffic but it was semana santa and there was literally no one. Normally it takes like 3 and a half hours to get the offices, but we got their demasiado temprano. 2 hours early to be exact and so we walked around Asuncion and had some good mother daughter bonding jaja. The meeting was super great. I learned so much. It was also super great because I got to see Hermana Varga again. But we got to our area again around 6 and had to study and plan. We finally got to leave to get to work at 7:30 ish. So we were praying that we could use our little time we had wisely and be able to find lots of people because we also didn't have hardly any nuevos this week.
So we went out and clapped on a house that was a lady we contacted a while ago. She looked pretty upset we were there but she invited us in. When we sat down she was like hold on I want you to meet my family. She brought in her husband and hija. We shared with them and they were so amazing. Here is really hard to find a normal family. A family who loves each other and wants to work together to grow and have value. It was a super spiritual lesson. They want to have a happy family.
We left and we started praying and thanking Heavenly Father for helping us find 3 nuevos that were super bueno. After we had 40 minutes so we tried a few of our planes and they weren't there. So we tried to just contact and there was this huge group of people so we went to contact them. We walked up and they told us to sit down. We didn't want to interrupt them so we just asked to give them an invitation. But they insisted and so we sat down. At first they were just asking us a ton of questions about mormons and our pias. They were trying to speak in English and all this crazy stuff. The grandpa was flirting with Hermana Fife the whole time. We thought we were wasting our time and the Lords time so we started to get ready to leave. But then the grandpa was like why don't we adorer the virgin Maria. So we said a prayer and I opened up my Book of Mormon and my Bible.
Friday we had to do weekly planning and studies. We also had plans to visit a old lady in our ward to eat with her. She lived super far away and it didn't have sense to walk to her house to eat to return and do studies but she didn't have a phone so we had to just go to her house. We were late and when we got there she started to cry when she saw us. We asked her what was wrong and she told us that she is sick and she thought we weren't coming and she prayed that she would be able to get out of bed so we could visit her. It was really humbling to be able to see the different a visit can make.
It was so much fun. We went out and bought ice cream. It was so great. Wow I learned so much. And the Solemn Assembly. Guys the spirit was so incredibly strong. That is a life changing experience. We went out and got ice cream in the rain and we ate it and watched the afternoon session. Then Sunday we had investigators in the capilla so we watched it in Espanola. I understood almost all of it. There was a ton of changes right? Wow but Holland and Uchtdorf!!!, wow super pureto verdad?
Oh also Sunday morning, the tradition lives on because I made Hermana Fife omelets !!
and gotta say they were pretty good. Traditions live on!!!!!!!.
I don't have a lot of time to write today but I just want to bear testimony on the Significance of this week. We had the opportunity to listen to our profeta. The man who was called of God to guide the whole world. I know and I testify that Russell M. Nelson is our living profeta and each of his apostles were called to serve. I am so grateful to be able to live in a time where we can receive revelation directly from a profeta. Some people didn't have that blessing in their lives. I love you all. I hope you will read, listen and reread the words that were spoken in this conferencia and apply them into your lives. The church is true, the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and I love you all.
