10/23/18 - President Nelson visits Paraguay!!! along with Elder Stevensen!!

Okay this week was super fun. We went on a ton of intercambios!!
Lets just say there was not one full day where I was with my companion. And we traveled a ton jaja.
Monday was really awesome because we were able to have Pday. I wanted to sleep to catch up a
little bit but that didn't happen of course. Tuesday we had consejo de Distrito and it was really good. We are trying to use the Book of Mormon more in lessons and with everything. Because El Libro de Mormon is more powerful that anything else. Its awesome.
Oh fun story. We got a text when I first got in Oviedo. Around june and it asked Tu eres Davis? Are you Davis? So I never knew we received that. I looked back in my agenda and found nothing but a name. So I messaged him back and asked if he was Manual. And he said yes. So I set up a time to go
share with him and yeah that's one way to find new people. But on Tuesday we also had ntercambios with Hermana Ostvig and her Hija. I was here in Oviedo with Hermana Ostvig and it was super awesome.
It was super fun to be with her again. We were able to find new people and really work hard. However at night we it was like a sleepover and we stayed up waaaayyy too late talking to each other. Hermana Ostvig got a bit trunky and we started planning a trip to hit up every temple
in Utah when we get home. Its gonna be super purete.

On Wednesday morning we had 10 minutes before our lunch. So we were contacting a few houses and felt that we needed to contact this one house. So we did and it was divine design because the lady was super nice and really wanted to listen to us. So Marcela, her name, and her son Dani
listened to us and at the end told us they wanted to come to church. So we passed again on Friday and she accepted to be baptized!!! She is super sweet. Oh yeah we went to Quiero Fruta and it was super funny because we got Aái helado and after we were gonna by some for our companions but we forgot so we left the store and had to go back and order 2 more. The lady looked at us judgingly and we were like they aren't for us, they are for a friend... It was super funny.

On Thursday we had planning for the week and we also had intercambios with the Hermana's we share a house. It is kinda weird to go on intercambios with them because we all share an area but
it was still good. I was here with Hermana Guaman. On Friday we left to go to Campo 9 to have intercambios with the Hermanas there. It was super fun. I was in Oveido with Hermana Ramos. She is from Peru and it was super fun. She is brand new and really great. She is still a little nervous to teach and contact. But it was good. We found great people and we were able to work really hard. We as well got aái because its her favorite and we had to celebrate her 1 month mark in the mission!! WOOO 1 MES!!!! However we did get stopped in the collectivo by the police and they asked for our identification. So that was fun.

Oh that happened twice to me. Saturday was rough. Not because it was a bad day but because it was super hot and I was super super tired. My body felt super heavy jaja. But a lot of crazy stuff happened.
First off we traveled back to campo 9 and finished intercambios. It was super fun to see Hermana Jardine. I love her so much. The companion I never had but always wanted. Then we were in a lesson and the lady was breast feeding her baby but it threw up everywhere and she started freaking out and ran to her sister and the sister was shaking the baby and everyone was yelling and I was so confused and shocked and worried but its because the baby wasn't breathing and it almost died, but it didn't its okay. Um what else. Yeah I got stopped on the colectivo again and was checked by ID. Oh man the worst one probably. We were trying to find a guy we had met in the street so we clapped this one house and all these kids were coming out with cookies and soda and there was
a ton of chairs and so I thought it was a birthday party or something. They told us to pass and when we walked in I asked if they were celebrating something... nope it was a funeral. A FUNERAL!!! I am
the worst!!! But the family was nice and technically they were having a rezo. Its when everyone gets together and they have a recite prayer every year to celebrate or remember the death of the person. The grandma had died 3 years ago and they were having their rezo. But still I am the worst jaja.

Sunday was great. We worked a ton but honestly we were just trying to pass the time until Monday, because.....guess what!!?!?!?!

I MET PRESIDENTE RUSSELL M. NELSON!! I SHOOK HIS HAND AND HIS WIFE AND
ELDER STEVENSEN AND HIS WIFE AND OH MY GOODNESS...I AM NEVER GONNA
WASH MY HAND AGAIN!!!

HONESTLY IT WAS SOOOOOO AMAZING AND SO SPIRITUAL!
Okay okay okay I need to calm down so I can write about it. So this was the best thing that has happened so far. So we woke up super early and then got all ready. I barely slept!! It was honestly waiting for Santa but so much better because its the living profeta of God!! That was so amazing!! And when we got in the bus and it was so amazing. We took a colectivo with the further zones 7,8,9 and it was super amazing to see all the missionaries. Hermana Jardine and I got to catch up on
our lives, I love her so much.

We got to the offices. I was soooo beyond excited to see Hermana Fife my hija again!!! I couldn't wait. I was making myself like sick just being so excited to see her and I also go to meet my nieta because Hermana Fife is super awesome and she is training. But she is training and then she is going to be a Hermana lider si o si this next cambio.

Waiting for the rest of the mission to get there and the moment I saw her come into the offices I
couldn't contain my excitement. It was so awesome to be with her again! I have missed her so much. But we had a meeting just the mission and we learned about how we can help our investigators progress but we also talked about what we were gonna do when the profeta got there.

Hermana Hansen asked me to translate in front of the WHOLE mission and I was so nervous. I definitely messed up a few times. Its kinda sadbut it was good. It was an honor that out of everyone she asked me to do it. Then we ate lunch and I got to catch up a little with Hermana Fife. And then we got on the bus to head over to Luque a city in Asuncion Norte and while we were on the bus we were singing hymns and it was super spiritual. But we got lost. So we were all praying that
we could find our way to be able to find the church.
Tender merci is that we found it and we got to go inside and we were sitting and waiting. Then we got escorted to go take a mission foto with the profeta. When I walked into that room it was so amazing. The spiritwas so strong. It was super powerful to be in the same room as the profeta. When we were listening to them it was super funny because he talked about Eternal marriage like almost the whole time and so it was funny because we are all on missions and he said now you may be wondering why I am talking about this when you are on a mission?
Because the mission prepares you for marriage and went off on it. So that was super funny. But I cant tell you all enough how much Presidente Nelson is full of the Spirit and how he transmits love for
everyone.

Mom and Dad he told me to tell you thank you for raising me to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. And I also want to thank you for the fact that you have given me the greatest blessing of the restored
gospel in my life. I know without a doubt that this is the true church. I know without a doubt that Presdiente Russel M Nelson is the living profeta of God and that if we listen to him we are listening to the counsels of our loving Heavenly Father.
I know without a doubt this church is true and I love you all so much.

Till next time!!!

EEKKK I MET THE PROFETA!!!

one of the pictures I like to title..." when you and the mission presidentes wife are best friends" and text all the time jaja I love her!
