6/18/2018 - Happy Fathers Day!!!!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL YOU WONDERFUL DADS OUT THERE!!!! YOU ARE ALL SO AMAZING!!!!

Where did this week even go?
So Monday was a holiday and it was the first day we got to chill. But only for a few hours because there was so much other stuff to do. We cooked together and it was super good. We also tried to make no bake cookies but it exploded on our stove and we just ended up making a mess jaja.

On Tuesday I had my first intercambio as an Hermana Lider. It was super fun. I only went to the other side of Oviedo but it was fun to be able to learn from the other Hermanas and to see different parts of Oviedo.

On Wednesday, wow Wednesday was hard. We said goodbye to Presidente y Hermana Wilson.
We had a big meetings in Asuncion and we got to watch Joseph Smith and the Restauracion video. It is one of my favorite movies. We learned a little bit about the new mission presidente, Presidente Hansen. But then Presidente gave his testimony and we sang God be with you till we meet again. And lets just say I cried...a lot...a lot jaja.  I love Presidente so much. He is such an amazing person and he has helped me so much on the mission. I am going to miss them sooooo much. But I know Presidente Hansen will be great too.

Thursday we planned for our week and we got to work. The problem was that there was, well it seemed like there was no one. No one wanted to let us in. All of our plans fell through. We confirmed all the appointments we could and even those fell through. The thing is, is that its winter here and its surprisingly super cold, so no one wants to leave the little fire they have in their shack of a house to keep them warm. But I wish they would let us in so we could be warm too jaja.

Friday we had another intercambio. So this time I went to Caácupe. Caácupe is the capital of Catholics and so it is a bit of a rough area because the Catholics who live there are not very nice to Mormon mission, at all. So we tried to find new people to teach and it was very very very cold outside. Needless to say it was a very long day but we were able to find good people. Also needless to say we were thrown out of a few houses jaja.

I also hit 10 months on the mission. Time has flown by so fast and I dont like it. I feel like just yesterday I got here and now I am close to a year. No I refuse! Saturday we finally got back to Oviedo but with only a few hours to work. Its sad because we are always traveling we hardly have anytime to work in our area. But we were able to find some good people. There is this lady named Angela. She cant walk or get up from her bed. The Hermana's found her on Intercambios. She is really sweet. We passed again Saturday and she is so sweet. She accepted a baptism date. I am so excited to see her progress.

Sunday it was very cold again so there was hardly anyone at church. Hermana Robinson and I were the only women in Relief Society for a good 30 minutes until 2 others sisters came and we had a little class in the sun. It was still cold jaja. But what was really cool is that during class there was a family that walked into the church and they looked like investigators. Si we went to go talk to them. But when we saw them we were in shock because it was Familia Hamilton!!! From Fernando de la Mora, my first area. It was so good to see them again. They told us all about Fernando and how everyone was doing. It was funny because the last time we saw them we were together, Hermana Robinson and I and now we are together again. They were in Oviedo to visit family for Fathers Day. It was so good to see them. Its been crazy here but everyday

I am more and more grateful for the chance I have to serve the Lord. This is His work. This is His church and the blessings we receive are gifts and the love He has for us. I love each and everyone of you. Till next time!!!!

6/11/18 - Hermana Leader - Family Email

First Happy Anniversary ZACH AND KELSEY!!!!
Wooooooo yeah another year together and 2 kids and an eternity to go. So great. I love you both and Kelsey I am so glad you are part of our family.

Okay I know that God knows us and hears us. Everyday for the last cambio I prayed to be able to be the last companion of Hermana Robinson. I knew that God would put me where I needed to be and I was also willing to do and go where he needed me but I prayed and told him the desires I had. At the end of the last cambio I felt pretty sure that I was going to be put with her. It was the first time I had a cambio where I wasn't freaking out and really nervous. I was calm and I felt calm. And I received the call that Hermana Robinson was going to be my companion again. I was actually really shocked. But I called her to tell her and she hadn't received her cambios yet but she freaked out it was so funny. She told me that not 2 minutes before she told her companion she was waiting for a call from Paraguari. Revelation! It was so amazing. We are gonna have so much excito this cambio.
But it is a lot of work to be an Hermana Leader. We are always traveling and working and have lots of meetings. Definitely embarrassed myself in my first meeting in front of all the leaders of the mission in Consejo de Lideres but it was super funny. Hermana Robinson was laughing so hard when we were talking about our area. It was super funny...to us.
But we have been traveling a lot. Hermana Robinson is such a great missionary and I can't wait to learn even more from her. But it makes me sad that she is dying this cambio. There is so much to do and so little time.
But I am so stoked. It is so nice to be with her again and its weird now because we have both grown so much since my training and its funny to teach because we are a great team but we teach different now. It is really cool to see the growth in such little time. Well I guess not little. 7 Months is a long time jaja. I have 10 months on my mission and it is super crazy because I feel like I got here yesterday. I still have so much to learn and do and I still have a lot of time but it flies by so fast. Before you know it Ill be having my final interview with Presidente like Hermana Robinson just had. But it will be with a different Presidente because Presidente Wilson goes home in a few weeks. It is super crazy. But it has been even crazier as an Hermana Leader. We have to do intercambios with all our girls and call them and help them and I have no time to write in my journal at all. Hopefully on P-day I can catch up. It has been very crazy. But I've been praying a lot to be able to be the leader that God needs me to be. So I can help the girls and be an example to them. Its been really crazy trying to learn everything. You just get thrown right into it. I have my first intercambio tomorrow. AHhhhh. It is gonna be fun.

Side note entonces hermana Robinson had her final interview. And she was telling me about it and she told me that Presidente congratulated her and said hey good work because your hija is an excellent missionary. It makes me so happy to think Presidente thinks I am a good missionary because I am working really hard to try and be the missionary God needs me to be. But it was very flattering. I am sad he is going home but I know the next Presidente Hansen is called of God and has the Keys to lead the gran mission Paraguay Asuncion. I love you all. I miss you all. How is everyone doing. Also if your gonna name the baby Zach and Kelsey I like Addison and call her Addy. Its cute Addy and Avery. I feel like with the name Lucky  she might hear lots of inappropriate jokes in the future. Just what I was thinking. I love you all.

6/11/18 - Hermana Leader and Transfers, Yay Hermana Robinson!

WOW IM WITH HERMANA ROBINSON AGAIN AND IT IIS EASILY GOING TO BE THE BEST CAMBIO OF THE MISSION!!!!

We are working super hard to have really great plans and its going to be super great because this is the last cambio that Hermana Robinson has on the mission. It has been really fun to be back with her but super crazy as well. I feel like I am in my training all over again but this time I actually know what to do. But it is kinda true I am in my training all over again because she is training me to be an Hermana Leader and I am learning so much. She is such an amazing missionary.

So this week I am now in Coronel Oviedo. It is super super huge. I have attached a picture. The whole map is our area, and we work in the little red part...HUGE RIGHT!
But it is really weird having to start over all again. Getting to know the area, the people, and everything else. Its been really fun though. There are really sweet members here and we are finding really good people.

On Monday we got cambios and I packed. My bags were very heavy. On Tuesday I had to say goodbye to Hermana Fife and I was off to my new area. I had to take a colectivo, o bus, to San Lorenzo, then from there another one to Coronel Oviedo. It was very long...very long. But I finally made it and when I got off the colectivo, there was Hermana Robinson waiting!! It was so great to see her again. So we got out to work. On Wednesday we had our reunion dee district and I got to meet my new district too. We share an area with elders again and I share it with Elder Kelley again so its been really fun.

On Thursday we had to travel back to Asuncion because we had a meeting on Friday so we left and took this super super chuchi colectivo. We got to sit up top and the seats were huge and it played movies, which was not fun jaja because they didn't play like The Restoration or 17 Mracles they played bad movies. But it was so cool to take it. We got to sleep in Asuncion and we stayed, because we were the only Hermanas, in the house of the Westover's. They are a married couple here and their house is super chuchi too. I took pictures.

Friday we had our meeting and it was so great. I learned so much. We then headed back to Oviedo on another adventure. We got home around 2100. It is like a 6 hour ride.
Saturday was my first full day to work and its been getting hotter here so it was nice to be able to work. We found some really good people who were new and we had really great spiritual lessons.

Sunday, my first Sunday. It was really good. Here they have the classes first. It was a miracle. So on Saturday we had an actividad en la capilla (activity in the chapel) and we were walking to the activity and there was a couple sitting outside the church. We started talking to them and they were super nice. The Hermano almost got baptized before. So we showed them the church and they said they wanted to learn more. So we offered for them to come to church. On Sunday we called them and they said they couldn't come because the Hermano was sick. But after one of our classes they showed up. So we took them to our class and we had a super powerful lesson. Then they stayed for Sacrament and loved it. We taught them afterwards, it took us forever to find their house they live super super far. But por fin (at last)  and also talked with them a lot. It was good but at them end of the lesson he asked Hermana Robinson for money. I guess we will see how it goes with them.

This week has been super crazy. It is super weird to be back with Hermana Robinson but it is so much fun. Because we already know each other and know how each other work, we can skip the awkward transition and work in unity. It is very powerful. Today is our first day to relax and probably our last with everything going on this cambio. We have to go to Asuncion like 3 more times. Ya fue this cambio. Anyways. I didn't take a lot of pictures but I will be sure to send lots home of my new area. Till next week.

2/4/2019 - Loving Mission Life!

Hey everyone, Happy Febrero! So this week was once again very very hot. It honestly is very impressive. Its been about 110 degrees with ...
